Leah will not appear in the New Moon film

After all of the media speculation about Vanessa Hudgens auditioning for the part as vampire Leah in the upcoming New Moon film it has come to light that Leah isn’t even going to be in the movie!

Twilight and New Moon scriptwriter Melissa Rosenberg is reported as saying:

“if Vanessa is auditioning for the role of Leah, she’s written her own pages to read, ’cause I didn’t write ‘em. “

No big surprise really as Leah doesn’t really feature in New Moon - but it’s good to put an end to all of the speculation.

New Moon movie script is being rewritten - will they finish it in time?

Apparently Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in Twilight has confirmed to MTV News that Vanessa Hudgens is auditioning for the role of Leah Clearwater in New Moon.

Leah doesn’t play a huge part in New Moon, but her role becomes more important later in the series, and Eclipse is supposed to be filmed straight after New Moon.

Greene also confirmed Rosenberg’s script for New Moon–

“I hear they’re doing another rewrite,” the actress revealed of the in-flux script. “I’m with you guys — I’m so excited to read it.”

It seems a bit odd that the movie is supposed to hit our screens in November yet they still haven’t completed the script! What do you think? Will they get it finished in time or will they have to delay the release? Post in the comments…
