Recently Reelzchannel asked five of the sites covering the New Moon film to share their five most anticipated scenes that will be in the New Moon movie. Here’s a sample of what they had to say [SPOILERS AHEAD!]
His Golden Eyes:
Bella, Jacob, and Mike at the movies — This is one of the lighter moments in the story. This scene provides some much-need comic relief after Bella’s comatose months. It’s nice to see Bella moving forward, and let’s face it, as much as we adore the pesky-but-adorable Mike Newton, him puking his poor little guts out will provide us with countless laughs.
NewMoonMovie.org:
The one everyone is waiting for, Bella jumping from a cliff
The high-speed scene where Alice and Bella are rushing to save Edward in the stolen, yellow Porsche
Laurent discovering Bella in the woods, and then the werewolves menacingly coming out of the forest
A glimpse into Alice’s vision (flashback of the future?) of Edward walking out into the sun and everyone seeing him glow
The large group of tourists being led into the Volturi feeding room and slowly realizing that they have walked into a trap

When Bella wakes up after Italy and thinks it’s a dream, and then her epiphany

Sarah Clarke, who also stars in Trust Me and 24, plays Bella’s mom Renée Dwyer in the movies based on the popular Twilight Series novels by Stephanie Meyer. MediaBlvd caught up with her recently to find out what she thought about Twilight and the upcoming New Moon–
MediaBlvd> Will you get more to do in the next film?
Sarah> I hope. Because it’s about the kids, they wanted to focus on them. The first scene was a really good establishing character scene for Bella and her mom, and they cut it down so much, I was like, “Oh, my God!” In the first book, the mother is written off as a nag, but they made a really good mom character in the movie. If she does come back, in a substantial way, a lot goes down with Bella in the second book and you would need your mom for. Being a mom now, and maybe I’m biased, your mom is a really important part of your life.
MediaBlvd> So, you haven’t read past New Moon yet?
Sarah> No. I don’t have a lot of time to read. I read Twilight so fast. I had the audition on a Monday, and I got the book the Friday before, so I read it over the weekend and I loved it. With New Moon, I’m taking a little more time with just because I’m working.
MediaBlvd> How do you feel about the change in director? Do you just go in and do your work, and you don’t worry about that?
Sarah> Yeah. I feel like there are reasons for everything. I think Catherine Hardwicke did a great job with the first movie, but the Harry Potter movies have different directors, and it’s always interesting to see how they can influence it. I think it will be exciting to see.
MediaBlvd> You’ve been involved with two high-profile projects, with 24 and Twilight. Do you get fans from both, or is Twilight overshadowing everything now?
Sarah> It’s a totally different fan base, in each case. With Twilight, people are so obsessed with that book, and they really want to know the ins and outs of what people think. Just going onto the first book, I couldn’t say anything about what’s going to happen next. I’ve just read New Moon, so I’m just now getting familiar with it. I would say it’s completely different groups of fans. With 24, I get very technical questions about the ins and outs of the CIA and anti-terrorist work. With Twilight, they ask, “Do you like werewolves or vampires?”
Do you know what drew me to the Twilight books in the first place? The absolutely gorgeous covers! I got to thinking about whether I could use the colour scheme of the books to give my room a Twilight theme.
What do you think of these ideas? If you have more then post them in the comments.
First off I need to paint the walls. I’m not sure black is such a great idea in a bedroom as it’s pretty depressing. But I thought about the red and white theme. It would be great to paint three walls a crisp white and then one a really gorgeous red - perhaps the one behind the bed.
That leads me onto the bed covers. Something in a deep red would be great, and it has to be warm and luxurious to snuggle up in. I was thinking about crisp white sheets and then a red velvet throw. I could add some black velvet pillows and cushions to bring some black into the room.
I really want to feature the red apple and red rose image somewhere too. Perhaps in the form of a poster or framed picture. I could put a vase of red roses on the dresser too. I’d also love an old fashioned jewelery box for my Twilight bracelet.
I’ll need a bookcase for all of the Twilight books of course; I think a whitewashed one would look great. To finish it all off I’ll add a couple of movie posters and perhaps a life-sized cut out of Edward!
Have you decorated your room with a Twilight theme? Let me know what other things I could do to make it look good.
So do you think you are the biggest Twilight fan? Do you know what Meyer asked fans to do when distributing advanced reading copies of New Moon? How about why Meyer changed her mind in relation to the epigraph at the beginning of New Moon which came from Romeo and Juliet? What reason did she have for changing it? Do you know the name of the online version of the New Moon story as seen through Jacob’s eyes?
